Foundations in Research Integrity: How to produce reproducible results

We're pleased to offer 20 fully-funded places to eligible EACR members at an EACR-funded one-day online training workshop facilitated by EMBO Solutions. Only one person per lab will be awarded a place, but we strongly encourage participants to share the workshop learning and materials with their colleagues, to maximise its wide-reaching benefits.

This one-day workshop gives you the practical skills to design solid experiments, handle data properly, and produce results that stand up to scrutiny. You'll cover good research design, data integrity and storage, reproducibility, authorship, plagiarism, conflicts of interest, and how journals handle image and data issues in practice.

Eligibility 

You must be an EACR member, and you must be either a PhD student or a postdoctoral researcher. 

The workshop will be delivered virtually via Zoom. Each participant will need their own:  

• Desktop or laptop computer in a quiet location
• Web camera, headphones if possible, microphone
• Reliable internet connection with at least 5 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload speeds  

Participants must attend the workshop in full.

• After logging in, come back to this page and click here to access the application portal. Only EACR members will be able to access the portal. If you can't access the portal but you believe you are eligible, please contact our membership team.  
• Complete each section of the online form. After clicking 'Save and submit' you will be able to view and edit your application using this link at any time until the deadline. However, if you do re-access your application, you must click ‘submit’ again to ensure that your application is considered. You can expect to hear the result of evaluation by 14 August 2026.

Evaluation 

All applications will be evaluated fully. The Evaluation Committee will review applications and select participants based on the statement of motivation and diversity. Only one person per lab will be awarded a place, but we strongly encourage participants to share the workshop learning and materials with their colleagues, to maximise its wide-reaching benefits.
