Affiliated national societies
14 national societies have chosen to affiliate to the EACR and give their members EACR membership at no extra cost to each member.
Over 7500 cancer researchers are members of the EACR via their national society membership in Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Turkey and the U.K.

Why do national societies affiliate to the EACR?
- Benefits for your members: Affiliated National Societies find it helpful to offer EACR membership as part of their own benefits package. This includes all the full benefits of EACR membership.
- Communications: They can also use our communications channels to reach a wider audience than their own members, and we can develop partnerships for running focused scientific meetings and courses together.
- Meeting sponsorship: Affiliated National Societies can apply for meeting sponsorship from the EACR. We accept applications all year round but you must submit the application at least 4 months before the start of the meeting. An application form is available here. - Committee representation: Presidents of National Societies have an ex-officio seat on the EACR's National Societies Committee
How can a national society affiliate to the EACR?
Both established societies and societies in the process of being created can affiliate. The EACR will actively support members seeking to form a new national society.
