CRUK is the world’s leading cancer charity, dedicated to saving and improving lives through research.
The EACR and CRUK have a shared commitment to increasing equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) within the cancer research workforce. The EACR is supporting CRUK’s Black Leaders in Cancer scholarship programme, an initiative that seeks to widen access for black students wanting to pursue a PhD in cancer at one of CRUK’s research centres. The BLiC Programme is run in collaboration with the Windsor Fellowship and Black in Cancer, who provide a comprehensive programme of coaching, career support, leadership training and networking to students enrolled on the programme. The EACR offers students on the programme free EACR membership for the duration of their PhD and free registration to attend the EACR Virtual Career Masterclass each year.
This partnership reflects our organisations’ shared commitment to attracting talented people from diverse backgrounds to cancer research so we can drive the most impactful cancer research and innovation
