2-year Postdoctoral Research Associate position
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join Dr Nekisa Zakeri’s lab within the Centre for Tumour Biology, Barts Cancer Institute. This Wellcome Trust funded project will use advanced 3D patient-tissue derived models to develop gamma delta T cell-based immunotherapeutic strategies for liver cancer and investigate the liver tumour microenvironment.
The position would suit a candidate with a PhD (or close to completion) in Cancer Immunology or a related discipline. Applicants should have expertise in tissue-derived 3D modelling approaches including organoid and/or tissue slice models, and experience with immune cell co-cultures, flow cytometry and confocal microscopy.
Barts Cancer Institute is a Cancer Research UK Centre of Excellence whose work aims to transform the lives of those with and at risk of cancer through innovative research in the laboratory, in patients and in populations. The postholder will have opportunities to contribute to supervision of MSc/PhD students and collaborate with partner research centres.
