EACR-funded EMBO Workshop on Foundations of Research Integrity – How to produce reproducible results

We’re pleased to offer 20 fully-funded places to eligible EACR members at an EACR-funded one-day online training workshop facilitated by EMBO, a trusted leader in scientific publishing, communication and leadership training. This intensive workshop is designed for researchers who want to explore the principles and challenges of research integrity and reproducibility. It addresses key aspects of the research process, from experimental design to data analysis and sharing. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the “dos” and “don’ts” of conducting and disseminating scientific research. The course emphasises that research integrity is not only crucial for maintaining the scientific record but also vital for enhancing the quality of your own work and advancing your career.  

Only one person per lab will be awarded a place, but we strongly encourage participants to share the workshop learning and materials with their colleagues, to maximise its wide-reaching benefits. 

Eligibility 

You must be an EACR member, and you must be either a PhD student or a postdoctoral researcher. 

The workshop will be delivered virtually via Zoom. Each participant will need their own:  

• Desktop or laptop computer  
• Web camera  
• Microphone  
• Headphones (if possible)  
• Quiet place from which to attend the course  
• Reliable internet connection with at least 5 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload speeds  

Participants must attend the course in full.

• After logging in, come back to this page and click here to access the application portal. Only EACR members will be able to access the portal. If you can't access the portal but you believe you are eligible, please contact our membership team.  
• Complete each section of the online form. After clicking 'Save and submit' you will be able to view and edit your application using this link at any time until the deadline. However, if you do re-access your application, you must click ‘submit’ again to ensure that your application is considered. Application deadline: 23:59 CEST on 23 July 2026.

You can expect to hear the result of evaluation by 14 August 2026.

Evaluation 

All applications will be evaluated fully. The Evaluation Committee will review applications and select participants based on the statement of motivation and diversity. Only one person per lab will be awarded a place, but we strongly encourage participants to share the workshop learning and materials with their colleagues, to maximise its wide-reaching benefits.
