Preparation for attending the workshop

Please ensure you bring along your laptop, fully charged, as you will need it to participate in the hands-on elements of the workshop. 

During the hands-on part of the workshop, you will get exclusive access to part of the EuCanImage dataset and the EuCanImage repository. Specifically, we will work with imaging and clinical data from part of the breast mammography dataset from the Medical University of Gdańsk, Poland. To this end, you will need to sign a data access agreement which will be sent to you by email. If you have not received the Data Access Agreement by Friday 07 June, please email Hannah Barrs (hannah.barrs@eacr.org) to request a copy. 

Please sign the agreement and mail it to the workshop organisers, Martijn Starmans (m.starmans@erasmusmc.nl) and Maciej Bobowicz (mbobowicz@gumed.edu.pl), copying in Hannah Barrs (hannah.barrs@eacr.org) at your earliest convenience but no later than Saturday 08 June, 23:59 CEST. On the morning of the workshop, you will receive login instructions.

Arrival at the venue

The EUCanImage Workshop will be held in Meeting Rooms 6 and 7 at the nhow Rotterdam.  Please make your way towards the registration desk, located in Meeting Rooms 6 and 7 on the 6th floor of the nhow Hotel which will be clearly signed. 

You can register and collect your badge from 08:30 CEST on Monday 10 June. If you notified us of any dietary requirements, these will be listed on the back of your badge in both English and Dutch. Please ensure you wear your name badge at all times while you're at the workshop. After the workshop we will collect your badge for recycling. 

You’re welcome to leave your coat and luggage in a designated area of the meeting room but please note that this area will not be supervised and personal items are left there at your own risk. 

Refreshments 

We will be providing refreshments during our designated coffee breaks as well as providing lunch after the workshop. 

Dietary Requirements (by prior arrangement only): please identify yourself to the serving staff. Confirmed dietary requirements will be detailed on the reverse of your workshop badge. 

What will I need to bring?

The afternoon’s session is a hands-on workshop and you will need to bring with you a laptop as these are not provided, along with a notebook and pen should you wish. 

Participants will need to have already created an account and obtained approval from the system prior to being able to access and use the EuCanImage data collection and take part in the hands-on session.
