Essen, Germany : 23 - 25 September 2025
At the EACR, we know that conferences are about more than just hearing the latest research. Our events are well-known for providing excellent opportunities for networking, interaction and discussion. Here are some of the features you can look forward to at Goodbye Flat Biology.
Tuesday 23 September 2025, 17:35-18:25
A light buffet will be served for all participants and exhibitors to enjoy on Tuesday evening. Why not take the opportunity to make new connections in an informal setting! The trade exhibition will be open at this time, and Poster Discussion Session 1 will follow at 18:25.
Tuesday 23 September 2025 18:25–19:55
Wednesday 24 September 2025 13:40–15:10
There are two dedicated 90-minute Poster Discussion Sessions in the programme. At these times, the presenters for that session should stand by their posters to discuss their work with other participants and invited speakers. As well as the dedicated sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday, there will also be additional poster viewing opportunities each morning from 08.15 where posters can be freely browsed.
Tuesday 23 September 2025, 14:55-15:25
We know that many of our participants are solo travellers and it can sometimes be a bit difficult to settle into the conference ‘vibe’ after a long day of travelling. We know exactly how that feels after our own travelling experiences so if you fancy meeting up with like-minded people, please meet up by the EACR Conference Banner after grabbing a coffee and a snack. This is not a structured event, just an informal opportunity for you to meet other participants who have travelled solo for a chat.
Tuesday 23 September 2025, 17:05-17:35
Conference participants will be invited to get to know conference speakers and organisers plus other conference attendees in a relaxed atmosphere. Our fun, informal quiz offers conference participants the chance to make new connections on the first evening of the meeting.
13:00 Tuesday 23 September 2025 - 10:45 Thursday 25 September 2025
Alongside fantastic scientific content, this conference will feature a small industry exhibition held within the poster area. The exhibition is an opportunity for researchers and companies working in fields relevant to the conference topic to connect and network. Visit the stands during the programme breaks and meet friendly product experts to find out how they can help with your current or upcoming projects. Wednesday 24 September, 19:30 (Optional ticketed event) - SOLD OUT

The Kiepenkerl is the traditional gastronomy in Essen's city centre. For 30 years now, the restaurant has been the culinary affair of the heart of owner Thomas Stolle.
Look forward to classic German cuisine, interpreted in a modern way by the creative kitchen team.
