Jinfeng Labs (Jinfeng Laboratory, www.jflab.ac.cn) , a new and pioneering institute located in Chongqing, the biggest city in China, is excited to announce open postdoctoral positions. Dedicated to advancing brain science and understanding brain diseases, Jinfeng Laboratory spans an expansive 1300,000 square meters on the scenic Life Island alongside Fengqi Lake within the Western (Chongqing) Science City.
Renowned for its state-of-the-art facilities and utilization of cutting-edge technologies, Jinfeng Laboratory offers an exceptional environment for research innovation.
The project
The adult brain maintains a pool of stem and progenitor cells in niches or scattered in the parenchyma. These cells are at the origin of glial brain tumors (gliomas). The postdoc researchers will develop new projects on neural stem cells and/or gliomas to explore genes of interest based on transgenic mice models and/or patient tumors and unique cell lines. He/she will work autonomously in interaction with JP Hugnot’s lab with the help of skilled technicians and students. Periodic stays in France at the Institute of Functional Genomics (IGF, www.igf.cnrs.fr) in Montpellier, France may also be possible.
Your opportunities
Join a new, dynamic and friendly institute focused on brain sciences and brain tumors. Join a team working on adult brain neural precursor cells and gliomas. Develop your project and career in a friendly and fully-equipped institute.
Your qualification
We are seeking dedicated postdoctoral researchers with a track record of good publications. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in brain cellular biology and stem cells. Experience with brain cells and high-throughput approaches is highly advantageous, and familiarity with cancer is a valuable asset. Demonstrated autonomy in conducting research, coupled with excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor technicians, is also important.
Salaries will be based on previous experience including health insurance and other social benefits.
