Arrival at the venue

You’ll see signage at the main entrance to Centro Congressi Giovanni XXIII directing you to the EACR Conference to be held in the Lecture Theatre Sala Oggioni within the complex.  Please make your way towards the registration desk, located on the ground floor to your left as you arrive through the main entrance.

You can register from 11:30 CEST on Tuesday 30 April. Once registered you will be given your conference badge and pocket programme. If you notified us of any dietary requirements, these will be listed on the back of your badge in both English and Italian. Please ensure you wear your name badge at all times while you're at the conference. After the conference we will collect your badge for recycling.

You’re welcome to leave your coat and luggage in the cloakroom at Centro Congressi Giovanni XXIII but please note that this is an unsupervised area and personal items are left there at your own risk.

Poster presenters of poster numbers 1 – 64 can display their poster on their assigned board as soon as they are registered. The boards are 100cm wide by 145cm tall (portrait) and posters should be no larger than 90cm wide by 140cm tall (portrait). Please find your designated poster board (the correct poster number will be in the corner of each board) and attach your poster.  Poster presenters of poster numbers 65 – 128 can display their posters on their assigned boards from the morning coffee break on Wednesday 01 May (10:45-11:15).  Materials to attach your poster will be provided for you. 

Solo travellers

If you are a solo traveller, attending the conference on your own, then please feel free to join us at the EACR Banner (pictured) near the registration desk at the afternoon coffee break on Day 1 (between 14:50-15:20) to connect with fellow solo attendees. Our friendly EACR staff will be on hand to assist you, answer questions, provide a map of the local area and offer insights into local dining spots and noteworthy attractions.

Refreshments 

We will be providing refreshments during our designated Coffee Breaks as well as providing a selection of food during the lunch breaks on Day 1 and Day 2 of the conference.

Dietary Requirements (by prior arrangement only): please identify yourself to the serving staff. Confirmed dietary requirements will be detailed on the reverse of your conference badge.

Welcome Reception

Tuesday 30 April, 17:40-18:20

Taking place on the first evening in the catering areas on the ground and first floors of the Centro Congressi Giovanni XXIII, this informal session is designed to give participants an opportunity to make lots of new contacts and connections in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Conference Dinner - SOLD OUT!!

Wednesday 01 May, 19:30 CEST

The Conference Dinner will be taking place on the final evening of the conference at the atmospheric Ristorante Taverna Valtellinese, a short walk from the conference venue. If you have already registered for the Conference Dinner, then you should receive a ticket tucked inside the plastic holder of your conference badge. If you expected to have a Conference Dinner ticket but did not receive one, then please come to the EACR Helpdesk during a coffee break.

Please bring along your conference badge and dinner ticket and aim to arrive at the restaurant at 19:25pm, doors will open at 19:30pm. The dinner will begin once all participants are seated. Entrance will only be permitted to the Conference Dinner with a valid ticket.

Directions from the conference venue

It takes less than 10 minutes to walk from the conference venue to the dinner venue. Head north-west on Viale Papa Giovanni XXIII, turn left onto Largo Porta Nuova which becomes Via G. Tiraboschi. The entrance to the Taverna is just down the side street called Passeggiata Zeduri.

Local Printing

If you need to print out your poster during the conference please use the friendly ‘Punto Copia’ store which is within walking distance from our congress center, Via Giorgio Paglia.

Digital Abstracts and Posters

We’re working to reduce the environmental impact of our conferences, which is why we’re providing as much information as we can digitally. Please note that we are no longer providing notebooks at our conferences. 
 
The pocket programme you’ll receive contains the scientific programme and an index of poster titles. All the speaker and poster abstracts, as well as optional digital posters, are available in our searchable Digital Abstracts and Posters area.
