The EACR is a professional membership association and global community for those working and studying in cancer research. Our community is diverse, with more than 13,000 members in over 100 countries.
We’re committed to providing a safe and secure environment, whether online or in person, based on a culture of mutual tolerance and respect. We have established this Code of Conduct to provide clarity and transparency and to ensure the best possible experience for all of our members.
By joining the EACR community, you agree that you have read this Code of Conduct and will follow it in all EACR activities, whether in person or online, and you accept that a breach of this Code could lead to your membership being terminated.
We expect all members to behave with honesty and professional integrity in all activity related to the EACR and your membership.
We expect all members to communicate professionally and constructively. This includes handling dissent and disagreement with courtesy, dignity, and an open mind, being respectful when providing feedback, and being open to alternate points of view.
Our community welcomes members sharing successes, challenges, constructive feedback, questions, and goals. Please recognise that other members may have different skills and experience than yours and there is no such thing as a silly question. We do not allow intimidating, threatening or harassing behaviour of any kind from anyone.
We expect all members to communicate honestly, accurately and in good faith concerning details being shared via our member areas of the website, including the Find A Collaboration tool and Member Network.
The EACR is not responsible for the opinions and information posted on the member areas of our website by others. In no event shall the EACR be liable for any special, indirect, or consequential damages or any damages whatsoever resulting from loss of use, data, or profits, arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of any information posted on this site.
The EACR does not actively monitor the member-generated content of the site for inappropriate postings and does not on its own undertake editorial control of postings. However, in the event that any inappropriate posting is brought to the attention of the EACR we will take all appropriate action.
