The Science:
A great scientific programme --- Superb coverage of all aspects of cancer stem cell research, metabolism, hypoxia, microenvironment etc --- Great organization and lots of great lectures --- Plenary Lectures above all were very interesting and the choice of speakers was excellent --- Very high quality lectures and more particularly plenary lectures, good topic choice --- Award speakers were very good --- Great interaction opportunities among different scholarships --- Great opportunity to discuss and share ideas --- I think that the scientific aspects treated in the plenary lectures were of high impact and helped me to highlight the most important aspect in cancer research at the moment --- Really nice for basic translational research, in lectures/symposia but also during the poster sessions --- The whole scientific program was very good --- The Plenary sessions were magnificent, organization was professional --- I found the educational lectures and the meet the expert lectures a very good idea and really useful --- Great plenary lectures! As a whole, good outline of interesting topics in current cancer research --- The plenary lectures and symposia were excellent --- Very good and well-selected speakers as well as post-presentation discussions --- The meeting covered a great diversity of topics related to cancer research. I think that this was excellent! --- I really enjoyed the conference programme for its variety and depths of themes ---Excellent programme and very good organisation --- The career workshops I attended were very useful.
And the Social Aspects:
Opening ceremony at the Opera with a brave top seminar --- The opera! When else do underpaid, overworked scientists with little kids get into the opera? Good food and wine there as well! --- Thoroughly enjoyed the awards reception as it was a little smaller so you could really talk to people. I was also very impressed with the reception at City Hall --- The opening ceremony at Opera House for the talk, the venue and the singer --- In my own opinion they were just EXCELLENT. Really, this was a great opportunity to discuss and meet many other people, completely exceptional compared to other international congresses I attended before --- All the evening receptions were very pleasant. I personally enjoyed most the reception after EACR members gathering. A great time to approach the speakers in a small crowd --- All the social aspects were excellent, especially the conference dinner --- The awards ceremony was very nice and also the light refreshment after the ceremony gave the opportunity to chat with different people in a more familiar way --- Opening ceremony in the opera house, due to fantastic music, friendly hosts and breathtaking setting --- Opening lecture and ceremony were particularly enjoyable - nice concept for the ceremony and an extraordinary place --- The conference dinner: venue was great, the food also, and the atmosphere was very nice! --- All the social events were lovely!! It's difficult to find the best one...probably the Opening ceremony at the Oslo Opera House --- Making new friends.
