EACR-20
Conference highly valued by participants
EACR-20 was the Association’s best attended conference to date and more than 20% of the participants provided the planning committees with feedback using an online questionnaire.
The Overall Judgement
83% of participants (excluding students) considered the conference overall to be either Very Good (71%) or Excellent (25%), only 2 respondents felt the conference was less than satisfactory.
96% of student participants thought the conference overall was Very Good (71%) or Excellent (25%)
This high level of appreciation for the conference was also reflected in the number of respondents hoping to participate at EACR-21: 85% (80% students), and the strong interest in the 2009 EACR programme of focused meetings: Chromatin & Cancer, Transcription & Cancer and Inflammation & Cancer.
Highlights and Strengths
Respondents were asked to indicate a particular highlight or strength of the conference.
The Scientific Programme received strong praise. Participants appreciated the focus on recent developments and commented positively on the scope, relevance, range, diversity, breadth and balance of the programme.
Generous appreciation was also expressed for the invited speakers, the quality of their presentations and the accessibility of the talks. Particular mention was made of the contributions to the conference from Keynote speakers and of the Plenary sessions.
