Membership of the European Association for Cancer Research is open to those who possess an academic degree or the equivalent and have an appointment or work actively in cancer research (as set out in our Constitution: EACR Regulations).

Membership of the EACR is ongoing: you do not need to re-apply to renew your membership each year.

Membership fees structure

Active Member

€40 for 1 year
€120 for 4 years (25% saving!)

Young Investigator Member*
* Must have less than 4 years postdoctoral experience when joining

€60 for 4 years membership

Student Member*
* Must already have an academic degree and be pursuing postgraduate studies

€25 for the duration of your postgraduate studies (maximum 4 years)

Society Members

Members of Affiliated National Societies receive membership free of charge

Student Members

If you gain an extension during your studies, please contact Alexandra Weatherdon through the Contact Us section of the website, stating your supervisor’s details, in order to have your student membership extended (maximum student membership is 4 years).

Society Members

Members of the 14 National Societies that are now established members of EACR as ‘Society Members’ enjoy full membership benefits free of charge.

Over 6,000 cancer researchers are members of EACR by virtue of their National Society membership in Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Turkey and the U.K.
