EACR is a Founding Member of ECCO

The European CanCer Organisation exists to:

  • Uphold the right of all European cancer patients to the best possible treatment and care
  • Promote interaction between all organisations involved in cancer research, education, treatment and care at the European level.

It does this by:

  • Creating awareness of patients needs and wishes
  • Encouraging progressive thinking in cancer policy, training and education
  • Promoting European cancer research through the organisation of international multidisciplinary meetings

EACR has representation throughout the governance and committee structure of ECCO supporting members in their work to combat cancer.

As a founding member of ECCO, EACR also makes an increasingly effective and valued contribution to the development of the scientific programme of the biennial ECCO-ESMO multi-disciplinary congress.
